Dot was one of my mentors in the years she and Jack lived in Goldsboro. They were two of my favorite people. Dot left a lasting impression on me and I credit her influence on me with part of my success in the insurance business and in life in general. I shall never forget her. She sure knew how to get things done.

Jack,
I am so sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. She was so special to be around growing up. I can see her and my Mom pickling cucumbers, making wax candles, boiling marbles to make match box holders and hunting for sea shells at the ranch. Her smile and laugh will be missed by all. Love and miss her!
Vicki

Cousin Dot, I am going to miss our phone calls so much. Everyone always enjoyed your presence at the Highfill reunion. You brought life into that bunch when you were there. You said I wouldn't get our book written in time for you to read and you were right. As always, I will love you and miss you. Pat

Words cannot say how much Aunt Dot will be missed by many. She inspired so many people with her quick wit and Highfill charm. Her presence at the Highfill Family Reunion in Mayodan NC will be sorely missed.
Dot was one of my strongest role models through out life.
She was so very proud of her son, Jack, who with his life long friend and wife, Connie, cared for her in the golden years!

Little Jack,
So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She always made me smile and I loved being with her when growing up. Her laugh was infectious and I know she will be missed, but I have to smile knowing she will be with the love of her life, Big Jack. I know she was welcomed by Mother and Daddy, Ace and Esther and my aunt Dorothy....oh, the times they're having together! Keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers.
Karen
