Edward John Kilmer, III

Edward John Kilmer, III passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

Edward was born in Johnson City, NY to the late Mr. Edward John Kilmer, Jr and Mrs. Alice Irene Kilmer (Mason).  He graduated from Johnson City High School in 1971. He served 12 years in the United States Air Force before being discharged honorably with disabilities. He retired from the United States Postal Service after twenty-five years.

Ed spent 43 years with the love of his life, Emily. He loved to travel, especially to the beach. He loved music, darts, and bowling. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always ready with a funny story or joke to share. He absolutely loved being with family and spending time with his grandkids and of course, his constant furry companions, Hershey and Mr. Darcy. 

Edward is predeceased by his parents, his brother Joseph Kilmer and sister Catherine Robertson.

He is survived by his wife Amalia “Emily” Cuesta Kilmer; daughters Edralyn Di Rose (Vince), Angelina Kilmer, Mary Trabel (Phillip); son-in-law Joel Galang; grandchildren Mariel, Aiden, Olivia, Jayden, Morgan, and Isabella; in-laws Bruna Kilmer and John Robertson along with numerous overseas in-laws and many nieces and nephews.

Bright Funeral Home of Wake Forest, NC is serving this family. A memorial service with be held on Friday, June 24th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Bright Funeral Home.
