Emil Ray Glarum, 76, of Wake Forest passed away on March 19, 2022.
He was born October 7, 1945, in Myrtle Beach, SC to the late Emil Glarum and Edna Grooms Glarum. He was their only and much beloved child.
Ray, as he was known to all, spent a life of service to the people of Raleigh, NC. For 25 years he was employed at the Raleigh 911 center, dispatching emergency services to those in need. He had also served as a volunteer firefighter and auxiliary police officer during his life.
He was known for his gentle ways and humor. He loved his family, magic, and educating himself on all manor of subjects.
Those left to cherish his memory include his devoted wife of nearly 55 years Amelia Glarum, daughter Sharon Morris (William), son Christopher Glarum (Tara) and grandchildren Alexander Morris, Everly Morris, Connor Glarum, John Alden Morris and Callan Glarum.
