Fred William Hilker, 81, died Friday, January 5, 2018. Fred was born December 9, 1936, in Carnegie, PA, to the late Edward and Helen Shaw Hilker. He was a US Air Force veteran.
Fred owned and operated The Y Beer Distributor in Bridgeville, PA and retired after managing grocery stores for over 12 years. He was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Wake Forest.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Fred’s Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 pm Saturday, January 27, 2018 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 520 W. Holding Ave., Wake Forest. Msgr. David Brockman will officiate.
Surviving are: his wife, of 58 years, Elaine Beltrame Hilker of Wake Forest; five sons, Glenn and Therese Hilker of Wake Forest, Gregg Hilker and Brian Reece of Durham, Jeffrey, Brian and Maureen, Mark and Sandra Hilker all of PA; eleven grandchildren, Michelle and Jason, Matthew, Joshua, Jessica, Christopher, Meghan, Marissa, Brendon, Cody, Maija, Kaylee; a great-granddaughter, Sophia; two sisters, Joan Moore of PA and Virginia Katruska of PA.
In lieu of flowers donation’s in Fred’s memory be made to the St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church Building Fund, 520 W. Holding Ave., Wake Forest, NC 27587.
