Welcome to the memorial page for

Geraldine Autenrieth

October 4, 1930 ~ September 7, 2017 (age 86) 86 Years Old

On the afternoon of September 7th, 2017, Gerry made her journey home into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Gerry lived for the last few years at The Heritage in North Raleigh and had many friends there. The only child of Frederick and Claire Woll, she was born on October 4, 1930 in Franklin Square, on Long Island, New York, and grew up there. She and our father, Ed, married on April 16, 1950, and enjoyed 52 years of happy marriage together. We spent our wonderful childhoods in Plainview, NY, with our parents. She and our dad, Ed, moved our family to Pittsford, Vermont in 1973, where we all spent many happy years making wonderful memories. Gerry worked for many years at Otter Valley Union High School in Brandon, Vermont, in their Guidance Department. In 2001, Gerry and Ed moved to Raleigh, North Carolina to be near Sue and her family there. Gerry was sadly predeceased by Ed in 2002. Gerry was such a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family so, and she loved the Lord. She will be deeply missed.
The Celebration of her Life will be held at Bright Funeral Home Chapel in Wake Forest, NC on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Pine Forest Cemetery in Wake Forest, NC following the service.
Gerry is survived by her beloved children and spouses, Sue and Andy Powers of Charleston, SC, Michael and Chris Autenrieth of Prior Lake, Minnesota, Chris and Trish Autenrieth of Hooksett, NH, and John and Michele Autenrieth of Mahwah, NJ, 11 grandchildren, Jennie, Allison, Ashleigh (her special buddy), Spencer, Alec, Alana, Alex, Hannah, Jason, Lauren, and Jill. Also surviving her are 6 great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Andrew, Evelyn, Cecelia, Leroy, and Paul.
