Gloria Leonhardt Hicks, 72, of Wake Forest, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 at WakeMed. She was born in Vance County, the daughter of the late David and Maude Leonhardt and was a member of Wake Union Baptist Church. Gloria worked as a pharmacist technician at T. E. Holding Drug (now CVS) for many years and was a loving wife mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock Wednesday morning, September 27, 2017 at Wake Union Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Forestville Baptist Church Cemetery.
Gloria is survived by her husband of nearly 54 years, Ronnie Hicks; sons, Jimmy Hicks and wife, Hollie, and Randy Hicks and wife, Melissa, all of Wake Forest; sister, Lilly Mae Parsons, of Clayton; grandchildren, Spencer Hicks, Austin Hicks, Chandler Hicks, and Chase Hicks. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Lee Hicks and by her sisters, Alice Adcock, Edna Whitaker, Mary Sue Arnold, and Elsie Ellington.
Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to the Wake Union Baptist Church Building Fund, 13345 Wake Union Church Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
Friends may visit with the family from 10-11 Wednesday morning prior to the service at Wake Union Baptist Church.
