Herman Stanley Jones Jr.

Herman Stanley "Stan" Jones, Jr., 60, died peacefully on Thursday, December 28, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Wendell.

Stan was born August 20, 1957 in Wake County, NC to Stanley and Frances Jones of Wendell. He was a graduate of North Carolina State University, where he received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1979 and his M.S. degree from Stanford University in 1983. Stan was a loving husband to his wife of 38 years, Beverly, and devoted father to his two children, Nathaniel and Victoria. A faithful follower of Christ, Stan was a dedicated Sunday School teacher at Bay Leaf Baptist Church. In addition to supervising construction projects at home, he spent his time woodworking and taking trips to Lake Gaston with his family. He also enjoyed his work as a design director with Cadence Design Systems in Cary, NC. Stan will always be remembered for steadfast faith, love of family, and strong work ethic.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; son, Nathaniel Jones and his fiancée, Beth Suggs; and daughter, Victoria Jones Radford and her husband, Josh.

The family will receive visitors at Stan and Beverly's home at 5129 Watkins Rd, Wendell, on Sunday, December 31st, 2-4 pm. The funeral service will be Monday, January 1st, 3pm, at Bay Leaf Baptist Church, 12200 Bayleaf Church Rd, Raleigh, NC 27614, followed by burial at the church cemetery.
