Junior Alford

Junior Alford, 81 of Wake Forest, passed away Thursday April 7, 2022.  He was born January 25, 1941 in Wake County to the late Luther Gilbert Alford, Sr., and Candice Pearce Alford.  Junior was a member of Wake Union Baptist Church, and retired after 40 plus years of service with the Wake Forest Fire Department.  Known for his BBQ chicken and his fudge, Junior enjoyed painting, working in the yard, fishing, and being with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters; Margie Keith and Mary Barham.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 60 years Alice Wall Alford of the residence, his sister; Evelyn Horton of Wake Forest, several nieces and nephews, and two great-nieces.

A funeral service celebrating Junior’s life will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 10, 2022 in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Robert Faile officiating.  Burial will follow in Wake Forest Town Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM-3:00 PM Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
