Linda Dezern Kessler, 64, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family and friends on Thursday April 20, 2017. She was born in Durham County the daughter of the late Norma Ray Dezern and James Robert Dezern. She was preceded in death by a sister; Joan Terry.
Linda was employed as a RN nurse mananger at Wake Med and worked in the NICU. She also worked at Rex Hospital in the NICU and the new baby nursery all this over 30 years.
The joy in Linda’s life was her family and her babies.
There will be a private memorial service held for the family at Bright Funeral Home.
Linda is survived by: her husband, Tommy J. Kessler; children, Chad Layton (Hannah Dansie), Amber Jezierski (Adrian), Melanie Thomas; sister, Helen Overaker (Larry); sister-in-law, Tracey Kessler; grandchildren, Aidan Jezierski, Andrew Jezierski and Riley Thomas.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Rex Foundation Hope Garden or to the Rex NICU in memory of Linda @ 2500 Blue Ridge Rd. Suite #325 Raleigh, NC 27607.
