Welcome to the memorial page for

Lisa Michele Mitchell

November 6, 1973 ~ September 17, 2017 (age 43) 43 Years Old

Lisa Michele Mitchell, 43, went to be with her Savior on Sunday, September 17, 2017 surrounded by her loving husband, her sister (Bean), and her mother (Moo). She was born on November 6, 1973, in Columbus, OH. Lisa served many people in different roles throughout her life, most lovingly as an Assistant Preschool Teacher at St. Johns Preschool. The most important things in her world were her family and friends, her church, and her preschool children. She welcomed everyone with a smile and treated everyone with the golden rule in
mind “do unto others, as you would have them to do unto you.”

Our family is grateful for the outpouring of support from the many friends and family who have visited and contacted our family during her short battle with Leukemia. It’s obvious she touched so many lives along the way, and will live on in all of our memories forever. She was a true inspiration to thousands of people around the world throughout her gracious battle.

A private graveside burial will be held at her husband’s family cemetery. All are welcome to attend a “sweet” celebration of Lisa’s life held Wednesday, September 20, from 5-8 PM at Summit Church, North Raleigh campus, located at 5808 Departure Dr, Raleigh, NC. Lisa loved all things sweet, so please join the family in celebration by enjoying many of her favorite desserts, sharing laughs and favorite memories.

Lisa is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Chris Mitchell, her son Ethan, her parents, Jim and Gloria Wise of Charleston, SC, her twin sister Melissa Faherty (Sean) of Dublin, OH. She was also truly loved and survived by her in-laws, Doug and Betty Mitchell of Wake Forest, NC and her sister-in-law, Julia Ferrell (Glen) of Bunn, NC, and nephews Dillon Mancini, Andrew Faherty, and niece Elizabeth Faherty.

In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in Lisa’s name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, LLS.ORG, which seeks to cure the cancer that took her precious life. They are very close to a cure for many types of blood cancers, so please make her suffering count towards a cure.
