Nancy Justina Wolf Miller

Nancy Justina Wolf Miller, age 92, of Wake Forest passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 with family by her side at the William M. Dunlap Center for Caring.  She was the devoted wife of the late Marlin Elwood Miller for over 71 years, and she was a loving mother and Nana.  She was the third of seven children born to the late Earl and Kathryn Wolf.

Nancy graduated from New Cumberland High School.  After graduation, she worked in the Harrisburg Office of PA Township News, which included work during the Korean Conflict.  Nancy and Marlin lived in Mechanicsburg, Shiremanstown, Bethel Park and in Chester County, PA.  In 1974, she moved to Raleigh, NC when Marlin was transferred for work.

Nancy worked at the Owen J. Roberts School District Administration for Census and Scheduling, at the New Cumberland Depot and at the North Carolina Department of Revenue, Accounting Division until she retired.  She and her husband owned a miniature golf course and a restaurant near West Shore Farmer’s Market in Lemoyne, PA.  Nancy devoted most of her time to her children and family.  She liked to sew, made clothes for her family, and she upholstered furniture.  Nancy was a great cook.  She enjoyed vacations and camping with her family at the beaches in North Carolina.  She loved her family, pets, hummingbirds, roses and her flowering shrubs.

Nancy was a member of Millbrook United Methodist Church, Raleigh.  She valued her friendships in Pennsylvania and in North Carolina and she also stayed in contact with her nieces and nephews and their families.

Nancy is survived by her children, Timothy Miller and wife Diane of Wake Forest, Colette Swoyer and husband George, Jr. of Elverson, PA and Christine Miller of Birdsboro, PA, four grandchildren, Travis, Dylan, George, III (Christina Marie) and Maranda (Jonathan) and five great grandchildren, Layla, Keenan, Trenton, Logan and Zoey.  Nancy was predeceased by her siblings, Todd Wolf (Kay), Marjorie Dengler (George), James Wolf (Patricia, who survives) and Roger Wolf.  Nancy is survived by siblings, Frederick Wolf (Ruth) and Phillip Wolf (Terry).
