Sandra Gail (Brown) Wood

Sandra Brown Wood, 75, of Rolesville passed away on Thursday morning, September 22, 2022. She was born in Wake County the daughter of the late Effie Hicks Brown and Charles Kenneth Brown.

She worked as an administrative assistant for the majority of her career in many areas such as NC Legislature, Nationwide Insurance and other businesses.

During the summer months, Kerr Lake became her second home spending many weekends on their pontoon boat and gathering with friends.

After retirement, her cats became her new children as her boys started families of their own. Lucky and Chance were like members of the family and she often referred to them as “her babies”.

A funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock Saturday morning, September 24, 2022 at the Rolesville Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Chris Wood and his wife Crystal, Tracy Wood and his wife Susan and a grandson, Collin Wood.

Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 am – 10:45 am prior to the service at the church.
