Savanna Ray

Savanna, 23, of Wake Forest passed away from a car accident on March 9th, 2022. She was from Wake Forest and the daughter of Carolyn Maria Ray.

Savanna attended Wake Forest High School and graduated as an “A” student in 2017.  She also received several scholarships.

Savanna was currently employed with Capstone Logistics and was residing temporarily in Orangeburg, SC for work with her boyfriend, Gerry Trevino. The couple was expecting their first baby boy, Gerardo Ray Trevino due May 8th, 2022, on Mother’s Day. The couple was so happy and ready for the birth of their baby.

Savanna was previously employed for Target and Staples in Wake Forest.

Savanna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and listening to music. She also loved going to the mountains, lake and the beach with her Mother, Sister and Grandmother Carolyn. She was very creative and artistic, she loved drawing and was a self-taught makeup artist.

Savanna is survived by her Mother Carolyn Maria Ray, siblings Alyssa Brook Driver of Wake Forest; Morgan Edmonds from Apex; Grandmother Carolyn Ann Thomas of Wake Forest; Linda Edmonds of Fuquay Varina; cousins, Monica, Rebecca, Tonya, Sandy, Matt, Carter, William, Jeremy and Stephen; her soul parents Angela and Philip Light, soul brothers Joshua and Chris Light; her best friend and soul sister Casey Dixon; and preceded in death by her “Nannie Pooh” Claudia Gattis and her “Nana” Audrey J. Light; Aunts and Uncles; Great Aunts and Uncles.
