Shirley Dorsey Upchurch

 Shirley Dorsey Upchurch, 71, passed away on Monday August 6, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Franklin County the daughter of the late Viola Gilliam Dorsey and Ennis Dorsey and was preceded in death by her husband; George Madison Upchurch, Sr. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

A funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock Thursday morning August 9, 2018 at the Richland Creek Community Church. Burial will follow in the Rolesville Baptist Church Cemetery.

Shirley is survived by: her son, George M. Upchurch, Jr. of Wake Forest; grandchildren, Heather Upchurch Harrison (Todd) of Wake Forest, Cameron Upchurch (Haley Dickerson) of Wake Forest; great grandchildren, Tyler and Hudson Harrison of Wake Forest.

Memorial contributions in Shirley’s memory may be made to Richland Creek Community Church 3229 Burlington Mill Road Wake Forest, NC 27587.

Friends may visit with the family from 6:30 – 9:00 Wednesday evening August 8, 2018 at the Richland Creek Community Church.
