W. Milton Wheeler

March 18, 1945 ~ April 2, 2022 (age 77) 77 Years Old

Tribute

W. Milton Wheeler, 77, of Creedmoor, was called peacefully back home to be with Jesus on April 2, 2022. This world lost an extraordinary man and heaven gained another saint. His journey has just begun.

Born to Woodrow and Inez Wheeler on March 18, 1945 with meager means. He was a man of integrity, generosity and laughter, always leaving an unforgettable impression with everyone he met. He loved his family without end and his family adored him.

Successful by human, earthly definition, he gave so much to so many privately. He recognized that God was the source of his blessings. The last few years threw him some difficult challenges which he faced head on, standing on the promises of God. Always by his side was a small wooden block that was a constant reminder of Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Geraldine J. Wheeler. He is survived by his children, Felicia, Greg, Gerald and Benson (Kim); 3 grandchildren, Lance (Tessa), Cierra (Daniel), and Hailey; 4 great-grandchildren, Logan, Reilly, Sophia and Sterling.

A private graveside service was held on Sunday afternoon, April 3, 2022 at Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. His earthly shell was laid to rest ‘til Jesus returns and we are reunited once again in heaven by faith through grace provided by Jesus’ shed blood and resurrection.

As Milton often said of those he respected, “He was a ‘good, good’ man!”

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church, P. O. Box 263, Wake Forest, NC 27587 or to a charity of one’s choice.
