Warren Edward Evans was born on November 27, 1943 to the late Lou Allen Kyser Evans and Ealie Alex Evans in Evergreen, Alabama. He accepted Christ at a young age and joined Millidgeville AME Zion Church and continued his loyalty to them until death. He graduated from Conecuh County Training School in 1961. After high school, he attended Tuskegee Institute where he graduated with a bachelors in Electronics in 1966 and was commissioned as a II Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. It was during his time at Tuskegee that he met the love of his life, Nellie. They married in 1967 and to this union one child, Wayne, was born.
After his honorable service in the Air Force (ret. 1970), he joined the workforce as a Quality Control Engineer with Xerox in Rochester, NY, where he worked until his retirement in 2001 after 31 years with the company. The ever-dedicated servant of God, Warren became a member of Genessee Baptist Church (Rochester, NY) under the direction of Dr. Vera Miller. Following Nellie’s retirement in 2005, the couple relocated to Rolesville, North Carolina, where he recently became a member of Friendship Chapel Baptist Church.
In 2007, Warren became the grandfather to Wyatt Evans, who he affectionately called “WyWy.” He thought the sun and moon rose in Lil Budd. Loved by all, he was generous, kind, forgiving and lovable. He enjoyed watching and playing sports, westerns and bowling.
