William A. Konkle Jr

William Arthur Konkle, Jr. (“Bill”) passed away peacefully in his home in Wake Forest on October 19, 2017.  He was born in High Point, NC in 1936.  He was 81 years old.   He was a graduate of High Point University and served 4 years in the United States Army as a military police officer.  After his military service he worked in the kitchen and bath cabinet industry for the remainder of his life.  He was often referred to as a pioneer in the industry and is well-known by members of the cabinet community. Bill worked up until the day of his death with his son at Atlantic Coast Cabinet Distributors.

Bill was preceded in death by his father and mother, William “Bill”  Arthur Konkle Sr.  and Dora Balle Konkle, his brother, Theodore “Ted” Konkle, his wife, Patricia “ Judy” Groome, his daughter Karen “Miki” Michelle Konkle, and his granddaughter Emma Mackenzie Konkle. 

He is survived by: his son and daughter-in-law, William “Zeke” Arthur Konkle III and Emily Konkle of Wake Forest, NC; his brother and sister-in-law, James “Jimmy” and Judy Konkle; his grandchildren, William “Jake” Jacob Stikeleather of Angier, NC, William “Liam” Arthur Konkle IV, John Ethan Konkle, and Tinsley Grace Konkle of Wake Forest, NC.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Bay Leaf Baptist Church, 12200 Bayleaf Church Road, Raleigh, NC  27614.  Visitation with the family will follow after the service in the Fellowship Hall.  Members of the extended family are invited to stay for a meal in the Fellowship Hall after the visitation.  Flowers can be sent to the church or to Atlantic Coast Cabinets, 150 Weathers St., Youngsville, NC 27596.
