Andrew Robert McBride

Andrew (Andy) Robert McBride passed away unexpectedly in his home in Wake Forest, North Carolina on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the age of 45. He is survived by his wife, Nadine LeBarron McBride, and his son Cameron Andrew McBride, who was Andy's greatest joy in life.  Andy was the son of the late Robert McBride and Karen Katretz McBride Schoonmaker . Andy is also survived by his sisters, Amy and Amanda, grandmother Mary Pratt, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Andy was born in Albany, New York and graduated from Colonie High School in Colonie, NY. He excelled with computers and taught himself hardware, networking, and programming. He put these skills to use in his almost 20-year career with Cisco Systems.       

Andy loved spending time with his son, his dogs, the outdoors, camping, fixing things, and his Jeep. He especially loved when he could combine them into one experience, such as taking Cameron on an off-roading trip to the mountains.       

The family will be forever grateful to all of the doctors, nurses, coordinators, physical therapists, counselors, and other medical staff who helped Andy on his journey through life.

The family will receive visitors at Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest, North Carolina on Sunday December 10, 2017 from 1-3pm.
