Ann Romansic Wagner

October 7, 1926 ~ July 10, 2020 (age 93) 93 Years Old

Tribute

Ann Romansic Wagner, 93, of Wake Forest entered into eternal rest on July 10, 2020.  Ann was born on October 7, 1926 in Graceton, Pennsylvania to the late Jacob Romansic and Mary Regrut.

Ann was preceded in death by her three siblings: Jacob Romansic, Marie Ruffner and Kathryn Anderson.

Ann was the devoted wife of Carl David Wagner, who passed away in 1971, and the loving mother of her two surviving, devoted daughters;  Carolyn Raymond and her husband, James of Raleigh, NC and Sheila Lytle and her husband, Ralph of Naples, FL.

Ann worked as a Deputy Treasurer in the Indiana County Courthouse in Indiana, PA prior to her retirement and relocation to Wake Forest, NC.

Ann was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Indiana, PA until moving to Wake Forest, NC, where she became a member of Hope Lutheran Church.

Ann’s greatest joy was her family.  She was known as “Grammie” by her five Grandchildren whom she adored:  Kimberly Raymond and her husband, Craig Boylstein of Conway, SC;  Sonia Raymond and her husband, Kevin Wilson of Myrtle Beach, SC; Chad McCoy and his wife, Shelbi of Clayton, NC;  Michele Rotosky and her husband, Nicholas III of Raleigh, NC; and Lisa Nury and her husband, David of Pittsburgh, PA.

Ann leaves seven Great-Grandchildren who will cherish their memories of her:  Alexis Healy and her husband, Orion of Garner, NC;  Ty McCoy of Clayton, NC;  Taylor Rotosky and Jaden Rotosky of Raleigh, NC;  Jack Nury, Anna Nury and Mia Nury of Pittsburgh, PA.

Ann always made sure that family and friends left her home with a full tummy.  She enjoyed baking, cooking, family get togethers and picnics, ceramics, making and planting flower arrangements, decorating her home at Christmas time, family beach vacations at the Outer Banks, shopping trips with her loved ones, and polka dancing at family weddings.

The Wagner Family would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for the loving care provided to Ann by the many dedicated nurses, doctors and staff at Hillside Nursing Center over the past twelve years.

In accordance with Ann’s wishes, there will be no visitation.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.

A family gathering to celebrate Ann’s life will be held at a later date.
