Archie Cree King Jr.

Archie Cree King, Jr. 82 of Youngsville, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022.  He was born December 23, 1939 in Wake County to the late Archie Cree King, Sr., and Mary Kathleen King.  Archie served in the United States Army, and retired from JC Penny after many years of service. He enjoyed fixing up Mazda Miata’s and reselling them, travelling, fishing, a notorious story teller, and being with his family.

Survivors include a brother; Robert King and wife Carolyn of Kittrell, his companion; Helen Cartlidge King of the residence, his children; Tammy Lynette King of Raleigh, Curtis King and wife Karen of Raleigh, and Chris King and wife Heather of Knightdale, Bill Krueger and wife Karen of Wisconsin, and Eddie Krueger and wife Cinda of Greensboro, Christine Hawkins of Youngsville, Jim, Joe, and Amanda Cartlidge of Youngsville.

He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren  

A memorial service celebrating Archie’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
