Audrey Grace Gall Ott left this world on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, to join her husband, John (Hank), in the presence of their Savior, Jesus Christ.
Audrey was born on November 4,1929, on Butler Street in Etna, PA, and lived most of her life on Cabbage Hill in Etna. She was active in her community as a girls’ softball coach, running for political office, supporting the local schools and volunteering for community events. Although in later years she and Hank moved to Ohio and then to North Carolina to be with family, she always lived in Etna in her heart.
Audrey was the only child of Albert and Alverta Drummond Gall. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Leslie Griffith and Joanne (Jody) Coombs. She loved her sons-in-law, Roger and Rich, like they were her own. Two of the greatest joys in her life were her grandsons, Brandon and Garrett Coombs, and as they married Jessica and Natalie she welcomed them into the family as granddaughters. She treasured her three great granddaughters, Annie, Rachel and Penelope. In her later years, Audrey was privileged to have Nikki Pollack as her friend and caregiver.
Audrey had a sharp wit and sense of humor to the very end. She loved to laugh and to make others laugh. She prayed daily for her loved ones and friends. She loved her family and her country and dogs and pigs and collecting antiques with Hank Above all, she loved Jesus.
Following Hank’s lead, Audrey donated her body to the Duke University Anatomical Gifts Program.
