Mr Barry Carson Payne

Barry Carson Payne of Raleigh, died peacefully on December 5, 2018 at Falls River Court. Barry was born in Charlotte, NC, son of the late Ocie Vestal Payne and John Henry Payne. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Industrial Engineering, and served as a Lieutenant in Korea in the United States Air Force. Barry spent his entire professional career with Alcoa at various locations in Tennessee, Texas, and Pennsylvania prior to retiring to Hilton Head, SC. Barry was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hilton Head where he served as an Elder.

Beloved “Buddy” is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jane Lowe Payne; daughter, Jennifer Cattano and her husband Joe of Raleigh; son, Oren Bradley Payne and his wife Elizabeth of Atlanta; grandchildren Carson and Nicholas Cattano, and Emily, Melissa, Sarah Elizabeth and Barry Carson Payne II.

A private Funeral Service will be held at a later date in Maryville, TN.
