Benny Willard Barham

Benny Willard Barham, 84, of Wake Forest passed away Friday, October 2, 2020 at his home.  He was born April 30, 1936 in Wake County, son of the late William and Alberta Barham.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kathleen Barham and two brothers, Alvin and Thomas Barham and a baby sister, Betty Sue.

He is survived by two children, Mark Barham and wife Paula and Gary Kirkwood and wife Pat, two sisters, Rebecca Horton and Dollie Strickland, six grandchildren, Brandon Barham, Jonah Barham, Julia Barham, Jason Kirkwood, Adam Kirkwood and Sabre Edwards, three great grandchildren, Finnegan Barham, Brianna Brown and Justin Kirkwood, several nieces and nephews and close neighbors and friends.

Benny served in the US Army from 1958-1960 and was then a long time employee of Brakes Inc., retiring in 1997. Benny loved nature and being outdoors. His greatest enjoyment came from fishing, gardening, and caring for his cats and birds.
