Betty Rose Millard

Betty Rose Holmes Millard, 86 years of age, of Burlington entered the presence of the Lord on September 26, 2020. Born on March 15, 1934, Betty was the daughter of Rufus and Florida Holmes of Youngsville, NC.

Preceding her in passing are her husband, Rev. Charles R. Millard; granddaughter, Mikayla Allen; brothers, Haywood Holmes, and Calvin Holmes; sisters, Lillian Grissom, Virginia Wall, Jean Hill, and Myrtle Holmes; five nieces and nephews; and special pet, Sampson.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Diane Millard (Buddy), Wanda Morris (Russell), and Pamela Allen; grandchildren, Samantha Ray (Kenny), Daniel Powell, Nichole Morris, Chris Allen (April), and Daniel Allen; seven great-grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews.

A dedicated Christian who loved the Lord, Betty had a heart for ministry and helping others. The Millard’s pastored several Church of God congregations in North Carolina, with a ministry that spanned thirty-five years.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Harvest Hills Church of God. Visitation will be from 12:00-12:45, followed by a service at 1:00 PM. Dr. Russell A. Morris will officiate the service.
