Bonnie Marie Bleiweiss

Bonnie S. Bleiweiss, 73, of Wake Forest passed away Friday, February 14, 2020.  Bonnie was born December 11, 1946 in Lafayette, Indiana, daughter of the late Vincent & Joanne Spaker. 

Bonnie earned her CPCU Insurance certification and worked as an executive underwriter in the commercial insurance industry.  A talented artist, Bonnie gained recognition as a silk painter of scarves, tallit[prayer shawls] and other Judaica artwork.   Bonnie also trained as a Feng Shui consultant and helped many clients enhance their home and work environments.  Bonnie loved life, and fought for many years to overcome her chronic lung condition so she would not be defined by her disease.  She enjoyed traveling, and communing with nature.  A member of Temple Beth Or in Raleigh, Bonnie was proud of her Jewishness and the community she found through her faith.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 34 years, Sheldon Bleiweiss of Wake Forest; her sister Don & Mary Claxton of Lafayette, Indiana; her niece, Angie Lerew and her husband Scott of Franklinton, NC; and her grandnephew, Hunter Chaney of Wake Forest.

A graveside service will be held Monday, February 17, 2020 at 11 am at the Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, 770 Stadium Dr. Wake Forest, NC  27587.
