Carl Thomas Depo, 75, passed away on December 13, 2021.
Born in Syracuse, New York to the late Stanley and Mary Hetner Depo, Carl is preceded in death not only by his parents but also by five brothers: Eddie Depo, Frank Depo, Robert Depo, Jack Depo, and Walt Depo; and three sisters: Genevieve Depo, Annie Depo, and Dolly Depo.
Carl is survived by his wife Grace Marie (Christians) Depo; his sister Helen Depo; four children: Carl Stanley (Jenn Morton) Depo, Robert Frederick (Courtney Love Stainback) Depo, Heather Marie Depo (Reco) Armstrong, Justin Frank (Randi Washington) Depo; and eight grandchildren: Robert Miles Depo, Che' Kadreal Armstrong, Allie GraycAnn Depo, Tanner Brent Powers, K.C. (Kenneth Carl) Depo, Leah Faith Depo, Olivia Marie Armstrong, and Penelope Grace Depo.
Carl and Gracie were married September 23rd 1972 and spent 49 years together, just 9 months shy of their Golden Anniversary. Carl was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a life-long truck driver. He loved eating haddock at Jim’s Fry in Syracuse and was a huge fan of Hoffman’s Hot Dogs and Coonies (manufactured in Syracuse).
Carl and Gracie operated a restaurant at one time and later a concession wagon.
He loved his 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner as well as his Triumph Motorcycle. His love of sports runs strong in the Depo household where Carl was a devout fan of the Detroit Lions.
Carl was a conservative individual who believed strongly in God and his Country!
Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest NC is serving his family. A funeral service will be held for Carl on Sunday, December 19th in the Bright Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 3:00 p.m. The family will greet visitors prior to the service from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
