Carl E. Williams

Carl passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home with family and his favorite four-legged buddies, Zeb and Angus, nearby.

Carl is survived by his wife of 52 years Doris, his son Dick Issermoyer and his wife Maribeth, his daughter Cindy Garrison and her husband Drew, and his daughter Carla Karboski and her husband Ron. He had seven grandchildren including Jenny, Joshua, Angela, Bernadette, Marina, Katie, and Veronica. He also met his three great grandchildren, Lydia, Kaydin, and Chase, before he passed. He is also survived by his sisters Edith and Nida and his brother Dick and many nieces and nephews.

An avid golfer and sports enthusiast, Carl was very involved in his community. He founded the Christian Golf Association in Pennsylvania as well as the Chip and Putt Christian Golf League here in North Carolina. He volunteered in the Upward Basketball Program at Faith Baptist Church for over 13 years, where he served as commissioner, referee and head coach to many young “George’s” and “Matilda’s”.

Carl lived a long and happy life full of lots of laughter. His fun-loving personality and silly jokes will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 11, 2018 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home.
