Carol Y. (Bailey) Hailey

Carol Y. Hailey passed away surrounded by her loving husband and children on March 8, 2021.  She was born in Wake County, the daughter of John Robert and Inez (Cash) Bailey. She graduated from Wake Forest High School class of 1957 and was employed as an administrative assistant for many years. Carol was a devote Christian who enjoyed attending services at the Wake Forest Church of God.  Throughout her life she showed a deep love for her family, showing them the beauty of nature, animals and enjoyed her garden, especially her roses. Carol was a talented seamstress making beautiful clothing for herself and daughter.      

Carol is preceeded in death by her brother Clifton Bailey. Survivors include her husband John Hailey of Wake Forest, daughter and son in law Rita and Aaron Phillips of Ashville, NC ; son Mark Hailey of Clover, SC; brother Douglas Bailey of Youngsville, NC; sisters Marjorie Wright and Sandra Honeycutt of Wake Forest, NC. ; five grandchildren Josh and Jordon Phillips of Ashville, NC; Steve Hailey of Sylvia, NC, Madison Hailey of Farmville, NC and Cameron Hailey of Charlotte, NC.

Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory to the Wake Forest Church of God, 155 E. Cedar Avenue Wake Forest, NC 27587.

Friends may visit with the family from 1-2 pm Wednesday, March 10,2021 followed by a chapel service at 2:00pm. Interment prayers will be held at the Pine Forest Cemetery.
