Carol Ann Withrow Heigl

January 27, 1939 ~ April 16, 2019 (age 80) 80 Years Old

Tribute

Carol A. Minton (Withrow) Heigl, 80, of Youngsville, NC, passed away April 16, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born January 27, 1939 to the late George and Loretta Minton of Buffalo NY. In addition to her parents she was also proceeded in death by her first husband Pat "Cotton" Withrow, second husband Richard "Pops" Heigl, two brothers George Minton (Grand Island NY), William "Bill" Minton (Hamburg NY).

Carol retired from Rite-Aid Corp (WV) after 25 years of service. She enjoyed her family and was very proud of all of them. Carol also loved her time playing cards with her friends at the Wake Forest Senior Center. She especially enjoyed playing cards with her two best friends Angela and Marie and was very thankful to have their friendship which meant a lot to her. Carol loved her NASCAR races every Sunday for the last 40 years. She was a true Dale Earnhardt fan. Last but not least she enjoyed her time spent with her husband Richard Heigl before his passing in 2017. He was the love of her life.

Carol is survived by her Daughter Cindy Holbert (Tim) of St. Albans WV, Wayne Withrow (Faye) of Wendell, NC, Debbie Smith (Paul) of Charleston WV, Wade Withrow (Brigida) and Nikki Crawford (Jeff) of Youngsville; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews in NY and WV.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Franklin County, especially Kristin and Lauren her hospice nurses, without them our family would have been lost. They also would like to thank Chaplin Patsy and Jeneva, their Social Worker. Without these awesome woman this would have been a more painful process. Lastly a very special thanks to Mary, Carol’s Home health nurse for several months who has been adopted as part of the family.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, April 22, 2019 at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, Wake Forest.
