Charles Albert Marshall

Charles Albert Marshall, 78, of Wake Forest, passed away Sunday evening, May 28, 2017 at Wake Med. He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Lantie Bailey Marshall and John Albert Marshall and was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Marshall was a retired correctional officer with the NC Department of Correction after 32 years of service and from Waste Industries after 18 years of service. He was a member of the Raleigh Family Moose Center for over 30 years.
A celebration of Mr. Marshall’s life will be at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, May 31, 2017 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens with honors provided by the NC Prison Honor Guard.
Mr. Marshall is survived by his son, Bert Marshall and wife, Wanda, of Wake Forest; daughter, Debbie Coplen and husband, Glen, of Youngsville; sister, Betty Lou Lockleair and husband, Hutch, of Zebulon; brothers, Lawrence Marshall and Donnie Marshall both of Wake Forest; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Thaddie Mae Marshall.

Friends may visit with the family from 12:30pm-2:00pm Wednesday prior to the service at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest, NC 27587 and following the service at the home of Lawrence Marshall, 3913 Louisbury Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587 and at the Raleigh Family Moose Center, 2824 Forestville Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
