Clarine Elizabeth Williams Hodge, 87, passed away on Wednesday January 31, 2018 at her home. She was born on February 27, 1930 in Wake County, the daughter of the late Claude Fred Williams and Viola Wall Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Haywood Bell Hodge, infant son, Jimmy Darrell Hodge, brothers Emerson (Marjorie), Jesse Vernon (Pearlene) Williams, sisters, Virginia W. Bell (Cecil) and Marie W. Nunnery (Max).
She was a wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, pastor’s wife, a seamstress, a gardener, a nursing aide, a traveler and a great cook.
She was a member of The Church of God, at Royal, NC.
A funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock Saturday morning February 3, 2018 at the New Life Church 6900 Zebulon Road, Wake Forest, NC. Burial will follow in the Williams Family Cemetery.
She is survived by: her children, Judy H. Lockleair, David Hodge and wife, Ruth, Nelda H. Rose and husband, Ronnie, Faye H. Laxton and husband, David all of Rolesville; grandchildren, Brian Lockleair (Michele), Lori L. Cyrus (Darrell), Eric Hodge (Tammy), Darrell Hodge (Elizabeth), Cole Hodge, Daniel Rose (Jen), Kimberly R. Hundley (Keith), Chris Laxton (Lyndie), Kevin Laxton (Angie); great grandchildren, Nicholas, Rachel, Ian & Phebe Lockleair, Brianna Roberts, Amberly & Kendall DeLaRiva, Ryleigh Cyrus, Nicholas & Ethan Barber, Laxton & Ella Hodge, Grayson, Jake & Charlotte Rose, Hudson & Harrison Hundley, Kama, Cameron & Finley Laxton; sister, Linnette W. Brisson and husband, Ervin, and sister-in-law, Inez Hodge Brown; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family immediately following the burial back at the church.
