Clement William “Bill” Kimbrough, Jr., 79, of Franklinton, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. He was born May 17, 1942 in Henderson, NC to the late Rev. C.W. Kimbrough, Sr. and Eunice Peedin Kimbrough. Bill served our country in the US Air Force and was a member of American Legion Post 52 where he served as past Chaplain. He was a member of Franklinton Baptist Church, where he served as a past deacon, chairman of deacons, Sunday school teacher, and choir member. Bill enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, the outdoors, baseball, and being with his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include his two sons, Scott Kimbrough and wife Carie of Cary, NC, and Jason Kimbrough and wife Leca of Franklinton, two grandchildren Matthew and Michaela Kimbrough, his companion Betty Estes Arnold of Franklinton, and several cousins.
A funeral service celebrating Bill’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Franklinton Baptist Church with Pastor David Averette officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of the service on Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bill’s name to Franklinton Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 102 W Mason St, Franklinton, NC 27525.
