Corinne Ann Lynch

Corinne Ann Lynch, 85, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away at home on November 8, 2021, surrounded by her loving husband and family. Corinne was born in Brooklyn, New York, on February 11, 1936, to the late Vincent and Kathleen Shea.  She married her devoted husband, Donald, in 1954.  They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on May 1st.  Corinne worked as a medical assistant in Bayside, Queens, New York, until she and Don retired to North Carolina in 1994. 

Corinne loved the beach, enjoying vacations in Montauk, New York, and day trips to Sunset Beach in her adopted state of North Carolina.  She loved dancing, shopping, and good food (especially sweets, which also happened to be the nickname her Dad, Vincent, gave her).  She also loved holidays, especially Christmas and her birthday.  It was well known in the family that she couldn’t wait to open her gifts if they were sent early; they needed to be hidden from her until it was time to celebrate.

Corinne was especially known for her generosity, sense of humor, occasional colorful language, and infectious laugh.  She was truly one of a kind.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Barbara Kletchka, and Barbara’s husband, Alan.  She will be dearly missed by those she is survived by: her husband Donald and their three daughters; Linda Cass (Robert), Kathleen Lynch (William) and Kelly Yeung (Chun); her grandchildren, Brett Cass (Laura), Leigh Cass Esteban (Anton), Zachary Drummond (Alleah), Cole Drummond, Brian Yeung (Chloe), and Donna Twiss (Cameron), as well as three great grandchildren; Kaia Cass, Charli Cass, and Hugo Cass Esteban.  She is also survived by her sister-in-law Lorraine Capparelli, Lorraine’s husband, Emanuel, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at Bright Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 1st at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive visitors during the hour prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
