Cynthia Therese (Gervasi) Shaban

Cynthia Therese Shaban, of Wake Forest, NC passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the Duke Raleigh Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 13, 1937, daughter of Frances (Giannone) and Charles Gervasi.  Cynthia attended St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church in Raleigh. A Memorial Mass honoring her life will be held at 11 o’clock Thursday morning, March 18, 2021 at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, Wake Forest. She is preceeded in death by her husband Gregory P. Shaban who passed away December 27, 2012. She is survived by her daughters Melisse (Jane Phillips) Shaban of Raleigh, Danielle (Michael) Turner of Wake Forest and son Christopher (Giorgia) of Cumberland, RI; grandchildren, Gregory Henry Phillips-Shaban, Vivienne Frances Phillips-Shaban, Jamison Marie Turner, Jackson Shaban Turner, Matthew Michael Turner, Sallie Karley Shaban & Charles Walter Shaban, sister Sandra Navin of Wake Forest. Brother in law Conrad  and many nieces and nephews, and beloved dog Sully.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Cynthia Shaban may be made to the P.G Fox Fund for the benefit of the Intensive Care Unit at Duke Raleigh Hospital, in care of Tika Simpson, Duke Raleigh Hospital, 3404 Wake Forest Rd., Suite 203 Raleigh, NC 27609; For those interested in donating, please make checks payable to Duke Raleigh Hospital.
