Darwin Dean (Deano) Gould passed away January 1, 2019 in Raleigh, NC. He fought and won a courageous battle with cancer; but his heart and kidneys ultimately failed him. He was born April 4, 1935 in Omaha, Ne.

He was raised in Beatrice, NE until 1946 and then moved to Lincoln, NE, where he remained until a move to Raleigh, NC in 1986.

After high school, he joined the Air Force. He served in Japan and later at Offutt Air Force base in Omaha as a military policeman. After discharge, he moved back to Lincoln with his wife, Diane. There he was employed by Cushman Motors and Square D as a design engineer. A bit of trivia for all you golfers out there: he designed the tools that are used to build that Cushman Golf cart you ride in. That career continued with the move to Raleigh where he retired from Tyco Electronics tool design department. To the union with Diane were born daughters Lauri and Kelly, sons, James and Andrew. In 1983 he married Virginia Biggs and added a step-daughter, Kerry.
