David J. Queior passed away recently, at the age of 74. David leaves the love of his life, wife Linda, three children and their spouses, and five grandchildren, as well as his two brothers and sisters-in-law. David grew up in Upstate New York, where he learned to love swimming, boating, and New York State's Adirondack Mountains. He and his family always returned to that area for their annual vacation, even in recent years. They lived in Upstate New York, Connecticut, and Maryland, before he and Linda retired to North Carolina. After attending LeMoyne College, David entered the commercial insurance profession, and managed commercial underwriting operations for a number of companies for more than 40 years. He was also proud of his work with an experimental, and subsequently successful private/public insurance solution to an ongoing issue with the costs of land subsidence in a major Midwestern state. David was an avid reader, and he and an old friend frequently enjoyed bicycling on area Greenway Trails in the local area. He was very happy that he and Linda were able to enjoy a number of years of retirement in their North Carolina home.
