David D. Mondok, 77, of Raleigh, passed away at his home, Friday, December 27, 2019. He was born November 9, 1942 in Sharon, Pennsylvania a son of the late Rudolph and Sophie (Tobias) Mondok. Along with his parents, David is predeceased by his brother, Robert Mondok.
David was a graduate of Youngstown State University, in Youngstown, Ohio with a Bachelor’s degree in History and also a Master’s degree from YSU. David was a member of ROMEO Club and a volunteer at American Heart Association. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, avid reader, gardening, bird feeders and he loved many pets. David never missed an event of his children or his grandchildren, attending all of their extra activities throughout school.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Constance “Connie” Mondok; his children: Susan Imposimato and her husband Tony, of Wake Forest, and David Mondok and his wife Brenda of Knightdale; grandchildren: Mia Mondok of Knightdale, Alex Imposimato, Ava Imposimato and Brooke Imposimato, all of Wake Forest; and his brother: Fred Mondok and his wife Barbara, of Youngstown, OH.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2020 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Wake Forest, NC.
The family will receive at Bright Funeral Home at 9:00 am Friday, prior to the funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or to the Goathouse Refuge, Pittsboro, NC.
