Dennis L. "Johnny" Falter, Jr.

Dennis, or “Johnny” as he was called by his family, was born on January 8, 1946, to the late Evelyn and Dennis Falter. Dennis grew up in the Ridgewood area and went to Broughton High School. He retired from the City of Raleigh.

His favorite past times were playing golf with his golf buddies, Jack and Lawrence, and watching NC State football. He was known for his quick wit and infectious smile. He never met a stranger. He would talk to everyone and was always helpful and ready to assist his family, friends, and neighbors.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 42 years, Doris; sisters Diane Hurst, Patricia Falter; sister-in-law Joy Husinko (Jack); brother-in-law Duke Yontz (Wynette); and lots of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded by his mother and father Evelyn and Dennis Falter, Sr. and his sister Dotty Jones.

Bright Funeral Home is caring for this family. A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 16th 2:00 p.m. at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens in Wake Forest, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
