Donald Rudolph DuBose

Donald R.  DuBose,  age 76, was welcomed into  the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, April 17, 2019. Mr. DuBose was born in Blakely, GA on Aug. 11, 1942. He graduated from Albany High School in Albany, Georgia in 1960. Don joined the US ARMY in April 1962 and retired after 23 1/2 years of service on Sept. 30, 1985.

After retiring from the ARMY, Don returned to his hometown of Albany, GA and was employed by the UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS CIVIL SERVICE, MCLB, and retired for a second time on June 30, 2007 after 21 1/2 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Blackshear DuBose and Callie DuBose Mallory, and his brothers John DuBose and Billy DuBose.

Donald is survived by his wife, Linda Davis DuBose of Creedmoor, NC;  his children, Kellie DuBose Duke (Bill) of Raleigh, NC,  Todd DuBose USAF Ret. of Jacksonville, FL,  Keith DuBose USN Ret. (Maria) of Houston, TX, and Angie Robison (Scott) of Leesburg, GA.; his grandchildren, William, Georgia, Michael, Jessica, Eric, Ryan, and Rachel;  three great-grandchildren, his first cousin, Linda Blackwell (John), one niece and three nephews, and his most faithful canine companion, Jake.

Mr. DuBose was a dedicated member of Woodland Baptist Church in Wake Forest, NC where he was president of the Senior Men's Sunday School Class. He practiced his faith daily. He loved his church family and was active in all aspects of church life.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 19, 2019 at Woodland Baptist Church, 190 Woodland Church Rd, Wake Forest, NC. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Friday, April 19, 2019 (prior to the service) at the church.
