Dr. Thomas Carl Eshelman

On May 31, 2021, Dr. Tom Eshelman of 7736 Old Bunch Road, Zebulon, NC 27597, loving husband and father of two children, passed away at home.

Tom was born August 29, 1941 in Honolulu, Hawaii, and was a graduate of Hilo High School.  He received his medical degree from Wake Forest University College of Medicine in 1967.  He practiced radiology with Raleigh Radiology at Rex Hospital for 31 years, retiring in 2005.  Tom volunteered for four years at the Garden of Urban Ministries in Raleigh. Prior to working at Raleigh Radiology, Tom served in the US Army for eight years.

He is survived by his wife Mary Stewart Eshelman, his two children, Christine Casavant and husband Gilles, and Tim Eshelman and wife Beth, three grandchildren, Meagan, Gabrielle, and Grant, two sisters, Anne Denniston and husband Richard, and Mary Lou Farr, and husband John, his sister-in-law Edith Rosenblatt.

As requested by Tom, no services will be held.
