Dustin James Cantrell

Dustin James Cantrell, 38, of Raleigh passed away suddenly on June 25. Dustin was the proud father of Braden, 12, and the son of Jan Buettgenbach and Gary and Susan Cantrell, all of Raleigh.
 
He graduated from Marquette Senior High School in Marquette, MI in 1999.  A graduate of NC State University in 2006, Dustin was passionate about Wolfpack sports. Fall Saturdays would find him at Carter Finley Stadium where he hosted his friends and family for tailgating at his “Packmobile.”  He was surrounded by many, many wonderful friends.  He also loved boating on Falls Lake where he was an enthusiastic and accomplished fan of watersports. Above all, he loved spending time with friends and family and especially his son Braden who was the great joy of his life. He was a gregarious, generous, and caring man.  His parents and brothers were blessed to have had a close relationship for his 38 years and we miss him immensely.
 
Left to cherish Dustin’s memory in addition to his son and parents are brothers Cody (Celeste) Buettgenbach of Omaha, Nebraska and Nick (Jennifer) Morgan of Youngsville, NC; nephews Cohen Buettgenbach and Brody Morgan; niece Avery Morgan; and many aunts, uncles, loving cousins, and friends.
 
Dustin's funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, July 1, 2019 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest. Dr. Randy Bridges will officiate.
