Edna (Allen) Beck

Edna Allen Beck, 88, of Wake Forest passed away on Tuesday evening, July 19, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Franklin County a daughter of the late Josephine Haley Allen and Roy Allen.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, R.D. Beck, a grandson, Mark Avery, a son-in-law, Herman "Pooch" Avery, and siblings Eva Mae Harris, Norine Smith, LaRue Hardee and Jasper Allen.

A funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock Saturday morning, July 23, 2022 in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Woodlief officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton.

Edna worked most of her adult life at Shrader Bellows.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She was also a loving friend and caretaker to many.  Edna's favorite hobby was puzzles and sharing puzzles with friends and family.

Edna is survived by a daughter, Faye Nines-Pinion (George), a son, David Beck (Rose), grandchildren, Chris Nines, John Nines (Crystal), Robbie Beck (Renee) and Melanie Pinion and great-grandchildren, Austin, Christopher, Owen, Ruger, James, Katie Beck and Nate Beck.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 – 11:00 AM prior to the service at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center 405 South Main Street Wake Forest, NC 27587.
