Edward Wilton Ferguson, 89, of Wake Forest, passed away in Raleigh, on May 28, 2020. He was born July 20, 1930, in Mercer County, West Virginia, a son of the late Leonard Milton, and Mrythie (Oxley) Ferguson. Along with his parents, Ed was predeceased by his step-mother, Pauline Gigueous Ferguson, a brother, James Dillard Ferguson and a nephew Charles Ferguson.
Ed was employed by a printing company in Chicago for many years. He enjoyed travelling and eating out. He visited forty-nine states and over 500 Cracker Barrel Restaurants during his travels.
Ed is survived by his step brother, Larry Gigeous and his wife, Gale, of Wake Forest; two nieces: Linda Ferguson, of Florida and Deborah Sroor, of Illinois; two nephews: Steve Ferguson, of Utah and Randy Ferguson, of Illinois; a step-niece, Joy Bornhoeft, of Tennessee and a step nephew, David Gigeous, of NC; as well as numerous great and great-nieces and great and great-nephews and several cousins.
The family will hold a graveside service at a later date, in West Virginia. A service of Bright Funeral Home, 405 S. Main St. Wake Forest, NC 27587.
