Elmon Alfred "Big Al" Barbour

Elmon Alfred “Big Al” Barbour, 94, passed away on Tuesday January 19, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Wake County the son of the late Minnie Alford Barbour and Argo Elmon Barbour. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a retired Long Haul Truck Driver.

A memorial service will be held at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon January 24, 2021 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with Rev. David Averette officiating.

Mr. Barbour is survived by his wife; Helen Barbour, a daughter; Teresa Lynn Southerland, his sons; Steven Ray Barbour, Elmon “Little Al” Barbour, Jr. and Richard Evans, a sister; Mary Helen Ortego, grandchildren; Clay Barbour, Neal Southerland, Eric Southerland, Justin Southerland, Mallory Breeden, Haleigh Barbour, LeeAnn Barnhardt, Ian Evans and Asa Evans, numerous great grandchildren.
