Emma M. Ray, 78, of Hannah Lane, Youngsville went home to be with her Lord on Sunday July 10, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Emma was born in Edgecombe County North Carolina, the daughter of the late Robert Gray and Nora Pearl Fox.

She was a Pastor’s wife and served along side her husband in the church for 34 years. She was a faithful and devoted Christian who loved the Lord and was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Youngsville, NC. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. Her favorite companion is her beloved dog, Sassy.

Emma was the wife of the late Pastor George Ray of Myrtle Beach, SC. She was preceded in death by six brothers, three sisters and two children.

A funeral service will be held 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, July 13, 2022 in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Woodlief and Pastor Thiago Bitencourt officiating.

A graveside service will be held in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Conway, SC on Friday July 15, 2022 with Pastor Bruce Scott and Pastor David Moyer officiating.

Emma is survived by a son, Johnny Ray and his wife Starre; daughters, Melissa Hicks and her husband Anthony and Sherry Murray; grandsons, Patrick Higgins, Johnny Ray and Aaron Ray; a great grandson, Blaine Ray; sisters, Mary Mutzabaugh and her husband Wayne and Lucy Batts.
