Evan Alexander Carlton died unexpectedly in a single vehicle accident on Saturday July 3, 2021. He was born in Raleigh on August 2, 1995 to Najla and Wade Carlton of Wake Forest. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister Elizabeth Carlton of Wake Forest and his brother, Anthony Carlton and sister in law Lisa and their children, Miles and Evie of Raleigh. He is also survived by his Aunt, Daly Lane and her husband , Mike and cousins, Katie and Anna of Duplin County. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Sarah and Fred Nave of Raleigh and Ruth and Wade Carlton of Warsaw.
Evan played middle and high school baseball through his homeschool team, the Raleigh Hawks. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his sister and friends. His free time was spent camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, snowboarding and "chillin' with his homies".
Evan worked as a contractor with his Dad's Construction business, Construction By Others, which he planned to take over after his Dad's retirement later this year. He was a hard worker, learned quickly and received praise from many clients over the years.
Evan's kind and gentle spirit, big heart, huge smile and love for life will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Evan's life will be held in the Bright Funeral Home Chapel at 3PM on Sunday July 11, 2021. This service will be live streamed. Please click here to view the service. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 4 to 6PM.
