Faye W. Perry

Faye Watkins Perry, 79, of Knightdale passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021 at home surrounded by her family.  She was born in Franklin County to the late Fred and Irene Watkins. 

Faye served her family many years being a stay at home mom.  As her children got older, she worked briefly for the State of NC as a secretary in Raleigh.  She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Wendell, NC serving as GA and Acteens leader for many years.  Faye later left her job to take care of her dad prior to his passing then took care of her mom until she passed.  She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and decorating for Christmas and other special occasions.  She also looked forward to the State Fair every year where she would enjoy the rides as well as the food with her children and later her grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald “Ron” Perry, her brothers, Earl Watkins, Junior Watkins and Harvey Watkins and her sisters, Rebecca Fullford and Doris Fullford.

Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Tracy Perry and wife Wanda of Wake Forest, one daughter, Ronalda “Miki” Herring of Knightdale, one sister, Emily Massey of Spring Hope, four grandchildren, Jessica Perry Ellis and husband Michael, Rachel Perry and companion Dan Veneziano, Josef “Joey” Hazelrigg and wife Julie Kate and Allison Keatts and husband Justin and seven great grandchildren, Whitley and Etta Rose Ellis, Zoe, Willow, Scarlett and Sadie Keatts and Ronald Hazelrigg.

A Celebration of Faye’s life will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, October 8, 2021 in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Bragg officiating.  Entombment will follow in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
