Frances J. Smith

Frances Journigan Smith, 74, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019 and is now sitting in Heaven with her Savior, Jesus Christ, completely healed and free of pain.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Genie Journigan and Alice Moore Journigan, a granddaughter, Shaye Smith and a sister, Peggy Bobbitt.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home, Wake Forest. Burial will follow at Red Bud Baptist Church Cemetery in Castalia.

Surviving are: her husband, Ralph Smith; her children, Allen Smith and wife, Teresa (Caudle), Brad Smith and wife, Trisha (Fowler), Melissa Smith Edwards and husband James; grandchildren, Tyler Smith and Tori Smith; her siblings, Alice May Clements, Emma Jean Cates, Bettie Sue Garner, Gaylon Journigan, Janice Gaddy and husband, Al; many nieces, nephews and special friends who are like family.

Beloved wife, momma, mawmaw, and sister. She loved life, her family, and she loved the Lord. She was always attentive to others needs. She enjoyed crafting, doing puzzles, and roller skating. She enjoyed a sunny day watching God’s creation bloom, grow, and fly, flowers, gardening, and bird watching.
