Fred E. Rogers

Fred E. Rogers, 81, of Willow Spring, NC, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Hillside Nursing Home in Wake Forest. He was born August 31, 1937, in Wake County to the late Hudie Clellon Rogers and Elsie Mangum Rogers.

 He was predeceased by his wife, Donna Rogers, and two brothers, Bryant Rogers of Wake Forest and Donald Rogers of Raleigh. Fred is survived by his son, Kent Rogers and his wife, Carolyn, of Wake Forest, and granddaughter, Stacey Rogers, of Raleigh, a brother, Charles Rogers and his wife, Faye, of Raleigh, and sister in law, Mamie Rogers of Wake Forest, several nieces and nephews. Fred was retired from Brinks Inc and the NC Department of Corrections. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Stony Hill Baptist Church cemetery, 7521 Stony Hill Rd, Wake Forest NC, with the Rev Mark Harrison officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Baptist Children’s Home of NC, PO Box 338, Thomasville, NC 27360, or the charity of your choice.
