Frederick J Martin

Frederick J. Martin, 90, of Raleigh, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018. He was born March 22, 1928 in Chazy, NY, a son of the late Floyd and Mary (LaPoint) Martin. 
   A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday July 6, 2018 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Wake Forest, NC. Inurnment will follow at Pine Forest Memorial Garden in Wake Forest. 
   Fred Served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Harris Corporation in Civil Service at Plattsburgh Air Force Base as Assistant Branch Chief and Government Contracting Officer.  Fred enjoyed fishing, golfing, target shooting, and skiing; as well as had a love for traveling, the ocean, and camping. He was known as Mr. Fix It and most of all a family man. 
  Fred was predeceased by his twin brother Frank Martin and his son Frederick James Martin. 
  He will be greatly missed by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy (Tellstone) Martin, his children: David Alan Martin and Scott Andrew Martin; grandchildren: Aric Scott Martin, Amy Lynn Thurston and her husband Brian, Ashley Marie Buraglio and her husband Jeff, Heidi Amelia Martin, Callum Burns Martin and Duncan Joseph Martin; great grandchildren: Mia Marie Thurston and Jared Lee Thurston; his brother-in-law Joseph Tellstone and his wife Shirley; and cousins and nephews. 
  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Fred’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association or to a charity of one’s choice.
